Meet the Familia de Mera

My husband Robert is from San Juan, Dominican Republic.  We were married in 2009, twice.  haha!  It is always fun to tell people we first got married in Princeton, April 12th, and then later celebrated our wedding with family and friends in the Dominican, June 27th.

We have FOUR daughters (when I started this blog we had 1 and 1 on the way . . . boy how time flies).  Adeline Bell is our oldest and as of March 2017 she is 6 years old.  She is the happiest little girl and has brought us so much joy!  On May 4th of 2014 God blessed us with our second daughter, Maisie Lillian.  She is a our sweet and sassy little personality.  She keeps us on our toes. This past year we decided to add one more to our family, God had other plans and blessed us with twins, yup two more girls!  Nailah & Karianne joined our family January 12th, 2017.  Chaos admidst the blessing reminds us daily that God is in control, his plan is not always ours, but there is great blessing and joy amidst his will.  I have always known and said that indeed there is peace in His perfect will, but in a house with 4 girls 6 and under – we don’t experience that much, haha!

Our house is loud, busy, and full.  There is a lot of laughter in our household, and a lot of praying!  We now describe our house as beautiful and blessed chaos. So while I went off the blogging grid for awhile, our newest additions are inspiring me to get back to writing, something I love to do!  After all, if God isn’t giving me lessons with newborn twins, a toddler, and a Kindergartner . . .  then I am missing something!
